EMERGENCY RELIEF
When crisis strikes, those already experiencing poverty are hit first and hardest. The Emergency Relief Program transforms compassion into immediate action during emergencies that disproportionately impact vulnerable communities.
Our approach is simple: identify urgent needs in underserved communities during crisis situations, then respond with direct, unconditional support that helps families maintain their dignity and stability. No red tape, no waiting periods—just immediate help when it matters most.
Current Campaign:
-
LETTERS FROM ALTADENA: WILDFIRE RELIEF
-
For Altadena families who lost everything they had in the Eaton fire, the road to recovery will not be quick. We're responding with immediate, unconditional grants to help these families rebuild their lives, preserve their community, and maintain their dignity while on that road. Because losing everything shouldn’t mean losing hope.

Past Initiatives:
-
COVID-19 Response (2020-2021): Delivered essential PPE and educational supplies to underserved communities, ensuring students could continue learning safely during the pandemic.
Like all Letters initiatives, our Emergency Relief Program maintains our core commitment: every penny donated goes directly to families in need, turning moments of crisis into opportunities for community resilience.
